Agriculture is a way of life that I fell in love with early on. My goal is to instill a respect and understanding for agriculture, the largest industry in Georgia, while making lessons as fun and interactive as possible.

I have been teaching agriculture classes in Walker County for 12 years and am excited to be joining the Gilbert family!

At Gilbert Elementary, our art program connects classroom learning with creative expression. Guided by Georgia Standards of Excellence, students explore a variety of media, techniques, and cultural art traditions.

Our lessons nurture critical thinking, creativity, and self-expression, giving students opportunities to process learning and share their unique perspectives with the world.

I'm a passionate Media Specialist with a strong academic background: Bachelor's from Dalton State, Master's in Early Childhood Education from UTC, and a Specialist degree in Instructional Technology from UGA.

My love for Disney, Star Wars, and Georgia Bulldogs football fuels my creativity and enthusiasm in curating engaging, multimedia-rich environments. I strive to integrate technology seamlessly into the media center, creating a dynamic space where students can explore, learn, and be inspired.

My passion is to inspire active and healthy lifestyles for every student while teaching good sportsmanship.

My developmental physical education program is designed for every child—from the physically gifted to the physically challenged. Each year, I teach new skills and introduce exciting sports. Let’s have fun, stay active, and play ball!
